Dr. Don Gold
Dr. Donald L. Gold, O.D. has been in private practice in Columbus, GA since 1965. His speciality has been in satisfying the visual & optical needs of tens of thousands of patients.
Dr. Gold’s undergraduate work was completed at Union College in Crandon, N.J., then his graduate work was completed in 1955 at Pennsylvania State College of Optometry in Philadelphia, P.A. with a degree in optometry.
In December 1955, Dr. Gold joined the U.S. Army, and was in active duty until December 1957. In January 1958 until December 1964 he was on active duty reserves. |

Dr. Marietta Dawson-White
Dr. Dawson-White was born in Chicago,Ill. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1972 from Mammoth College in Ill. In 1973 she received a Master of Science degree from Purdue University in Ind. In 1982 she graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Dawson-White served in the U. S. Army for 5 years. She has been in private practice for over 20 years. She is currently residing in Columbus,Ga. Dr. Dawson-White also has over 18 years experience as a low vision specialist. |

Dr. Benji Brumberg
Dr. Brumberg has been practicing optometry since 1973. He attended the University of Connecticut and the New England College of Optometry. He has authored numerous articles, editorials and a book, Efficient Ethical Private Practice. He has lectured across the country on ophthalmic disease and ethical private practice. He was an editor of the Journal of the American Optometric Association for six years and served on the board of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. His discovery of a new way to detect Horner’s Syndrome (often caused by a Pancoast cancer of the lung) was featured in the national publication of the profession.
In 1999, Dr. Brumberg was asked by an old friend, Florida Governor Jeb Bush, to serve as Ombudsman in Tallahassee. Prior to State service, Dr. Brumberg served three terms on the City of Ft. Lauderdale Budget Committee and Community Services Board as Mayor’s representative. He has chaired the Broward County, Florida Public Health Services Committee and the Baltimore Orioles Host Committee. He has also served on the boards of the Graves Museum of Archaeology and Natural History, Hollywood Community Correctional Center, the Heritage Bowl football classic and Save the Florida Panther. In 2003, he was the recipient of the National Sierra Club’s Distinguished Service Award. He has served as a judge for the Miami Herald Silver Knight awards and has been a youth sports coach and commissioner.
A singer, songwriter, he was a recording artist for TK records (world wise release, January 1977 Dist. Warner/Electra/Asylum) album April Fool (p/k/a Horrell McGann).
He is an active traveler, birder and outdoorsman and is the owner of Ellerslie Fishing Lodge in Ellerslie, Georgia. |

Dr. William White
William J. White, MD is a board certified ophthalmologist with extensive experience in no-stitch, no-needle, cataract surgery, as well as corneal transplants, glaucoma surgery, plastic and reconstructive eye lid surgery, refractive surgery (LASIK). and crossed eyes. He is also experienced in using lasers to treat glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and retinal strokes.
Dr. White received a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from Michigan State University before graduating from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NYC with his MD degree. He then completed his surgical internship at the University of Miami and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. He completed his residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
Dr. White is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, and the National Board of Medical Examiners, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Christian Ophthalmology Society. Dr. White and his wife Lynn are parents to four sons and are active with their church activities. Dr. White has gone on several medical mission trips. He enjoys playing the trumpet and stretching. The Whites live in Columbus, Georgia. |

Dr. Rajesh Rangaraj
Rajesh Rangaraj M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and specializes in refractive surgery using the latest in wavefront analysis to reduce the dependency of glasses.
Dr. Rangaraj also uses newer techniques like conductive keratoplasty (CK) and refractive lens exchange (ReZoon, ReStore), CrystaLens) to reduce the dependency of reading glasses.
He is one of the few surgeons in the Atlanta area with certification in performing corrections for high myopia using the Verisyse lens. In Alpharetta, Dr. Rangaraj has introduced the IntraLase technology to help reduce the patient fears in the flap making process of Lasik. IntraLase uses a bladeless all-laser process to make the flap and therefore eliminates potential complications.
Dr. Rangaraj is a highly respected Lasik surgeon who has performed over 10,000 surgeries. In addition to refractive surgeries, Dr. Rangaraj performs lid surgery, cataract surgery, retina laser surgery and glaucoma surgery. Along with surgery, general ophthalmologic care can be obtained at the ImagePlus Atlanta Laser Center.
He graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He went on to finish his medical school and ophthalmology residency at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
Before coming to The Atlanta, Dr. Rangaraj traveled to third world countries for medical missions for one year and worked in Michigan for four years.
